me neither but this looks like it's finally IT! the best thing is getting rid of those crappy bizarre buttons at bottom that the others have, putting the next and previous where they instinctively belong, the appeal of the color covers at bottom rather than some crappy scan; only thing I wonder is refresh rate, I never liked how the page turning does that weird dissolve flashing but this still looks like the best yet!

I hate how they're bragging about features that are pretty much universal amongst ebook readers, as if B&N were the first to come up with those things. Hey my Kindle2 has a easy to read e-ink display and 3G wireless! I fear the masses are going to accept that propaganda though and start calling every reader a Nook in the generic sense.

I was "thisclose" to buying a Kindle until I started reading about the Nook. The big points for me were the 1mil+ titles available, the fact that they have free ebooks that I will ACTUALLY read, the SD slot, and-my personal favorite reason-compatibility with my Blackberry. I hear some people complaining about the price. I compared the price of an ebook I wanted on both sites. Amazon actually was higher ($14.25) than the BN version ($9.99). Aren't the ebooks on BN about to get a price cut anyway?

It is like they asked me what I thought was wrong with Kindle 2 and what I would improve and then said "you got it, and on top of that, we'll put a color navigation touch screen to boot!"

Awesome.
