independent book stores are closing leaving only “super bookstores” such as Barnes and Noble and Borders to sell the nation its reading material. Why do you think this has happened? Is reading as necessary or popular as it was in the past or has its value dwindled? In your post, please comment about this situation and make sure to include what you think the implications of less reading has on our society.

I plan to buy an e-reader. I do not know which one. I was curios if I would be able to download electronic books that I may have stored on my computer. Beyond that, you can annotate? I bought a PDF of a manual for my class too, and instead of my laptop, I’d like to read on a Kindle. Is it possible?

I’ve always wondered if you think they were worth it. They look pretty cool, and I read from time to time.

They aren’t that expensive, and on the Nook and Kindle a lot of books are free. They’ve always just looked cool, but do you think they are worth the $250 dollars they are?
