I bought this so that I could read my Nook at the beach/pool and not have to worry about the possible splash. I also wanted to protect it from sand. It appears to serve that purpose. It closes with velcro on top. There is a small opening on the bottom that allows you to charge the Nook without removing it, it also closes with velcro. There is a bit of glare on the screen from the plastic and a bit of bubbling as well. The touch screen does works through the plastic which is a huge plus. It is a very snug fit. Getting the Nook in was a tad difficult the first time due to the plastic clinging to the Nook. Taking it OUT was a major pain not only the 1st time, but the 2nd & 3rd as well. We’ll see if that improves with time. For now, I rate it 3*

I just received this cover for my nook. I haven’t tested the splash proof yet but I’m going to avoid water when I can, this is just a protective cover for camping and vacationing. It seems very solid. The nook fits into it nicely. There is some glare over the screen with it but I don’t intend to use this as an everyday cover, only when I’m going to be outdoors and there is a risk of getting it wet or dirty.
